It occurs to me that LIFE got in the way and I never posted the last two days of my Week in the Life pages….Well, we’ll just remedy that right now with two days in one post…
Saturday:
The story: Gwen made her first goal playing soccer for our town today…totally awesome!!! That I got it as it happened, because I did have my big camera with me… serendipity. Usual stuff, house stuff, crafting, silly stuff and a little pottery barn catalog window shopping.
Photos: I started with 104 images, I deleted down to 83 (I had a ton of pix today as I was playing with the sport / burst setting on my big camera at Gwen’s soccer game), of that I used 23. Templates, Paper and Embellishments (same as the rest of the week)
SUNDAY
The Story: You know, when I went to put the story together for this day… I found that a lot of my photos were duplicates or minutely different versions of the same thing. So I only did two pages, because I didn’t need four, because I felt that the two pages pretty much summed up the day, and because I did not have any lazer tag pictures from the birthday party the girls spent the day at, AND I didn’t think that my photos of cool stuff at The Container Store (where I killed time while girls were at said party) were really that interesting or relevant….so two pages it was.
Photos: I started with 134 images, I deleted down to 102 , of that I used 11 (yes, you heard me, 11).
Templates: Ali Edwards Week in the Life Layered Template Set 8.5 x 11 Vol. 05. and my 9 photo template.
Paper & Tags: “Summer Blossoms” kit by WhimpyChompers Creative. Font is Remington Noiseless (love typewriter fonts!)
AAAND we’re done! With the putting together of the pages! At this writing (on October 20…where does the time go????) I have ordered and received my prints from Persnickety Prints and they are carefully stacked up and tucked away awaiting their place in an album…more on that, as soon as they find their new home!
Love this project, As I mentioned I didn’t know if I was going to work on it again this year but I’m glad I did and I’m glad I kept it super duper simple (for me!)
Thanks for coming along…more on wrapping up this project in another post (hopefully sooner than 6 months)
Many congratulations on getting this completed, and to Gwen for her stellar performance – you were clearly the well prepared Mum! I do like your pages very much, especially that big photo on the left hand of the Sunday spread – a great photo.
